Former Findon CC Club Captain Denis Williams was a surprise supporter at Saturday’s 1st XI’s match on Saturday.
Denis, who was captain of Findon in the late 1960s, now lives next door to Eastbourne’s cricket ground at The Saffrons.
Before the game, Denis spoke with senior players John Rogers and Jason Nicholls about his time playing with the likes of Alan Harris, Malcolm Gill, David Nicholls and many other current FCC Life Members.
He then spoke with current Club Captain James Iago and former Chairman Mike Metters during the tea interval. Denis is pictured here during the 1960s sitting next to Frank Atton (in the black blazer). Also pictured here back row, second from the left, is our current President Johnny Spiers.
