On Saturday saw our final round of fixtures for all league sides which saw the 3rd XI promoted following their 5 wicket win over Littlehampton 3rd XI. Going into the game the 3rd XI required just 2 points to secure promotion and the points were secured for the horses when Oliver Wadeson took the 6th wicket of the Littlehampton innings caught by his father, Simon. Littlehampton were all out for 126 with the wickets shared around, Findon then knocked off the runs in the 33rd over with the loss of just 5 wickets, Simon Wadeson again leading the way with 50 and under 13 Alex Stevens scoring 29.

The 1st XI came up 6 runs short in their final game of the season at home to Roffey 2nd XI. Roffey posted to 218 from their 45 overs, the wickets were shared around, but Jabe Rogers was the pick of the bowlers taking 3-28 from his 9 overs. In reply Findon were bowled out for 212 with 2 balls to go, Curtis Howell Scoring 50, and other contributions from Bradley Bridson (39) and John Cox (31).

The 2nd XI suffered a 4 wicket defeat away to Selsey 1st XI. After being bowled out for 152 the only notable contributions were from Steve Chapman (36) and John Flower (33). In reply Selsey knocked off the runs in relative ease in the 28th over at the loss of 6 wickets with two wickets apiece for Carrig Connolly and Archie Cairns.

Final League standings:

A huge well done to all teams this season, in particular the 3rd XI winning promotion from Division 10 west (south) up to Division 9 west. Both the 1st XI and 2nd Xi having solid seasons, consolidating in their respective leagues following the restructure which saw both sides moved around.

A huge thank you must go to the umpires, scorers and supporters who give up their time on a Saturday afternoon to enable us to get the games on.

This Saturday we are hoping to have a friendly fixture up the club followed by a BBQ to send off Liam who is heading back to Australia after his summer with us this season as our overseas player plus also Glen and Curtis who are heading off for seasons in Australia over the Winter.
