Clubmark

What Is Clubmark?

The ECB (England and Wales Cricket Board) continues to work with Sport England on the pioneering club accreditation scheme ‘Clubmark’ to develop a vibrant and healthy club cricket infrastructure.

As an ECB Clubmark accredited club Findon Cricket Club prioritises junior development, creating a benchmark for high quality community club cricket.

There are a number of people and organisations who support clubs through the ECB Clubmark process, including the County Cricket Boards, County Sports Partnerships and local Sports Development Units among others.

The Sussex Cricket Board West Area Development Officer, Steve Feazey, helps support Findon CC through the process of maintaining our  ECB Clubmark Accreditation which we gained in 2006.

ECB Clubmark gives Findon CC an opportunity to write and implement new procedures as well as acknowledge existing practices. Findon CC are required to present evidence and demonstrate implementation across four different themes, culminating in the production of an annual Club Development Plan.

The four themes are:
* Duty of Care and Safeguarding Children
* The Cricket Programme
* Knowing your club and its Community – One Game
* Club Management

Clubmark can reassure you that Findon CC is constantly working to produce the best possible environment to develop our young people as well as providing opportunities for senior members to gain skills as officials and coaches.
